There are only those four options because it is not possible to plea down to a lesser charges in Johnson County, or anywhere, in Kansas. Today we will share with you more information about the DUI diversion program.
The DUI diversion program allows you to make an agreement, with the prosecutor, in order to avoid more harsh consequences (ex. jail) and possibly later have your case dismissed. You must successfully complete the program or risk facing 100% of the consequences of your original charge. Your agreement may contain any, or all, of the following:
