"Motor vehicle crashes are the leading causes of death for 15 to 19 year old drivers in the United States," according to the Traffic Safety Marketing website. "In fact, in 2014 there were 2,679 teen (15 to 19) passenger vehicle drivers involved in fatal crashes and an estimated 123,000 teens were injured." In order to raise awareness and address this issue, Congress designated a week to teen drivers. This year, October 16th through October 22nd is the National Teen Driver Safety Week.
